Dr. John Shackelford is a licensed psychologist and a BCIA certified neurotherapist. He has been in private practice in Richardson for over thirty years. He practices in Glen Rose one day a week.
John grew up in Glen Rose then attended Howard Payne University for his bachelors degree. He received his Psy. D. (Doctor of Psychology) degree from Rosemead School of Psychology in Southern California. He has been a licensed psychologist in Texas since 1980.
Clinical practice interests and skills are: neurotherapy, ADHD assessment, and psychotherapy. Mentors in the field of neurotherapy have been: Steven Stockdale, Richard Davis, Boby Gurnee, Jay Gunkleman, and Robert Cobin.
John has been married to Lalla, his high-school sweetheart for forty-six years. They enjoy two grown children and four grandchildren. Hobbies include carpenter work, writing, and the Cowboys.
